Formwork work The craft of formwork construction
The craft of formwork is an important job that involves using wood and metal fittings to create the framework into which concrete is poured to form the structural components (skeleton) of concrete buildings, such as columns, beams, walls, ceilings, and floors. It is necessary to accurately determine the type of formwork needed from design drawings and proceed with the work precisely in line with the construction process.
At Seisho Corporation, we work together with our teammates in various roles to handle every stage of formwork construction, including design, fabrication, transportation, assembly, installation, dismantling, and project oversight.
Four Pillars of Strength in Construction Construction sites supported by our four strengths
A construction site cannot be sustained by the effort of one person alone. The craftsmanship of formwork carpenters, the perspective of safety management staff, the coordination skills of administrative staff, and the dedication of support staff… all these roles create a synergy that gives shape to large buildings. Seisho Corporation respects the strengths of its diverse colleagues and builds the future through unity.

Formwork carpenters: “Supporting our daily life”
The craft of formwork is a profoundly deep and skillful work. Though it is not often visible in everyday life, the skill and ingenuity of formwork carpenters live on everywhere around us. The joy of seeing a completed, impressive structure is simply irresistible.
Even as precast concrete methods and other construction techniques advance in efficiency and cost reduction, we cherish what can only be done through artisan craftsmanship and the solutions that fit perfectly because they are handled by human hands. We value unity, ingenuity, and fresh ideas, pursuing cost reductions and safety improvements with a mindset that never stops moving forward.

Safety management staff: “Protecting the workplace through diverse capabilities”
Seisho Corporation actively promotes the recruitment of female and foreign national employees. The strengths that women bring, such as awareness, initiative, cooperation, and a sense of order, along with foreign employees’ understanding of different cultures, their efforts to master the Japanese language, and their diverse awareness of safety, all contribute to supporting our construction sites through these diverse perspectives.
Their duties include site patrols, liaisoning with prime contractors, management of safety documents and schedules, personnel allocation, and material procurement. They collaborate with foremen as the unsung heroes supporting safe and smooth site operations. We look forward to welcoming more colleagues, regardless of gender or nationality, who will join hands and work together with us.

Administrative staff: “The bridge that connects everyone”
Our administrative staff members handle a wide range of tasks, not only general affairs such as answering calls, welcoming visitors, and writing thank-you letters to business partners, but also providing Japanese language education and instruction in Japanese manners for foreign national employees, technical intern trainees, and specified skilled workers. Their responsibilities also include arranging and accompanying training sessions, as well as offering daily life support to help them live safely in Japan.
They also take on multitasking duties, including facilitating communication between Japanese craftsmen and foreign workers, managing company PR activities, and supporting construction administrative work. This is far more than ordinary clerical work. Our administrative staff members serve as the gateway of Seisho Corporation, connecting all stakeholders and supporting an environment where people from diverse backgrounds come together and each individual’s strengths are combined into one powerful force.

04
Support staff: “Guardians of the yards”
The driver role involves not only transporting materials but also preparing materials for delivery to construction sites, checking returned materials, and inspecting and organizing pipes, lumber, and other items in the yard.
Working together with the yard manager, our support staff members manage and organize materials in the yard and provide daily support so that the craftsmen can process materials safely and smoothly. As a team, all employees take part in weeding the yard and surrounding areas to maintain the environment, always striving to keep the center clean and orderly.

Concrete Formwork Carpenter, crew leader N.M.
Years of service 28 years
Qualifications Certified first-class formwork specialist, certified core skilled workerThe sense of accomplishment from cleanly completing the site and the joy of developing junior workersThe appeal of formwork is the great sense of accomplishment that I feel when the site is finished cleanly. I make it a point to treat the technical intern trainees and the specified skilled workers like my own sons. When they do not understand Japanese, I emphasize key words or use gestures, finding ways to convey the message. It is a truly joyful moment when they master what I have taught them.
What I consider important in leading the team is assigning the work that matches each individual’s abilities. I do not demand too much, and above all, I prioritize “no injuries.” I intend to keep standing on site as long as my body allows, carefully training the new generation of young workers from the ground up. -

Specified Skilled Worker, staff member N.T.
Years of service 5 years
Qualifications Japanese driver’s license, JLPT N3Initially, it was for the money, but now I want to improve my skills while learning in JapanThe trigger for deciding to work in Japan was initially for the money, but I gradually came to want to know more about Japan. I have been working at Seisho Corporation since my trainee days and was familiar with the company’s work environment, so I wanted to work here again. That was because I thought I could develop my skills here.
Seisho Corporation is a company where young people can be active, and its appeal lies in having an environment where employees can grow on their own initiative. The rewarding aspect of this job is using your head while moving your body and accumulating experience in various places. Going forward, I intend to further enhance my work skills and improve my Japanese abilities. -

Technical Intern, staff member N.M.
Years of service 3 yearsI am happy to work while sharing smiles with my colleagues, and in the future, I hope to take on major projects in my home countryI am currently in charge of formwork assembly work. Life in Japan feels comfortable with its quiet and calm environment, and I appreciate how many people show thoughtfulness and consideration. The best part of the job is being able to work while sharing smiles with colleagues. When there are smiles, the work goes more smoothly. Even when things are tough, I feel reassured because the carpenters and my colleagues are always kind and supportive.
When new junior staff join, I will strive to be a senior staff member they can look up to. In the future, I hope to become someone who can take on major projects in my home country. -

Safety & Construction Management Department, staff member B.H.
Years of service 1 year
Qualifications Certified second-class construction management engineer (assistant)While enjoying both office work and on-site work, I aim to become someone who can be entrusted with formworking operationsI joined the company because I was attracted to a job that involves not only office work but also site work. I handle a wide range of tasks, including managing carpenters’ safety documents, site entry procedures, material ordering, process management, and safety patrols. Since I like physical activities, site work suits me well, and I enjoy it. Precisely because we are a small elite team, there is the difficulty of being entrusted with overall responsibilities, and at the same time, I can feel my growth.
Going forward, I aim to become a “super administrator who can be entrusted with formwork operations,” and I plan to take on the challenge of acquiring new qualifications. Step by step, I intend to expand my skills and knowledge and work toward obtaining a forklift license.
